Slawomir PIETRASZ
Senior Project Manager & Optimisation Expert
ENGIE Lab CRIGEN
Nurtured by Polish folk songs and a strong DIY culture, Slawomir PIETRASZ has developed a passion for magic, mathematics and music.
When he doesn't train swimming or practice Latin dances, he loves lecturing functional analysis and differential equations at Mines Paris.
European polyglot in 7 languages, he also teaches statistical learning at CentraleSupelec in France where he graduated.
As a Senior Project Manager at ENGIE, he combines Operation Research with Artificial Intelligence to optimize energy networks.
On his path to expertise in Data, he has developed software to support supply chain optimisation and decision making in logistics as well as robust investment in the gas industry.
With his colleague Marinette LOISY, he has most recently implemented algorithms to manage a portfolio of energy production assets.
These algorithms can be used to predict the energy requirements of heating networks and generate optimal production scenarios.
A fruitful collaboration between business and research resulted in an operationally functional tool, Predity for Asset, and the project was granted an award at the last in-house 2024 innovation ceremony.
