Atsuo Kanno is a Vice Chair and SG3 Leader of LNG committee of International Gas Union, currently serving as an Auditor in the Energy Resources and International Business Unit at Osaka Gas Company Limited since 2024. He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tokushima University, Japan (1991).
He has held various leadership roles within Osaka Gas, including General Manager of the Corporate Strategy Department (2022–2024), Deputy Senior General Manager of the Central Safety & Distribution Control Department (2020–2022), and General Manager of the Hyogo Co-Creation Team (2018–2020). His expertise extends to international relations, having served as General Manager of the International Relations Department at The Japan Gas Association (2015 to 2018), seconded from Osaka Gas.
Throughout his career, Kanno has contributed significantly to the company’s growth and development in areas such as LNG, power, and energy resources. He has also worked in various departments, including Gas Resources, Pipeline Network, and Corporate Planning. With a strong background in strategic planning and operational management, Kanno has played an instrumental role in the business expansion and innovation of Osaka Gas.
