As the world's oldest international energy industry event since 1931, when the first World Gas Conference was held in London, governments of host countries have attached great importance to WGCs with several editions witnessing the attendance of head of states and ministerial-and-above-level government officials. Throughout history, WGC has been hosted in 23 cities across 15 countries, including France, UK and the US that have hosted the event more than once.
