Mr. Don Cheng is the Chief Operating Officer - Hong Kong Business and Head of Sustainability Green Hub of The Hong Kong and China Gas Co. Limited. With over 29 years of extensive experience in gas engineering, customer services, product development, marketing and sales, Mr. Cheng has gained broad recognition in the industry. In recent years, he has focused on new energy initiatives, particularly in hydrogen energy and green methanol, across both Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.

Mr. Cheng is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and holds multiple degrees from Canada, including Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Chemistry,  Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Mathematical Statistics. His academic credentials complement his professional expertise.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Cheng has made substantial contributions to academia and public service. He serves as an advisor to the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Furthermore, he is the Vice-Chairman of the Energy and Power Group at the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and a member of the Dangerous Goods Standing Committee for the Hong Kong Fire Services Department.
