Li Guoxin, Professorate Senior Engineer and Doctoral Supervisor. He is currently serving as the Deputy Chief Geologist of PetroChina, Party Secretary of Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Development, President of the State Key Laboratory of Enhanced Oil and Gas Recovery, Director of the National Energy Underground Gas Storage R&D Center, and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Petroleum Exploration and Development.

His research focuses on geological theories and innovative engineering technologies, along with practical applications of these to both conventional and unconventional oil and gas production. Dr. Li’s prestigious work has garnered significant recognition, with accolades including a First Prize from the National Science and Technology Progress Awards, as well as eight Provincial and Ministerial-Level Scientific and Technological Awards. He is also a recipient of both the 4th Outstanding Engineer and 30th Sun Yueqi Energy Awards .
