Naila is a Principal (Pipeline Integrity) currently attached to Pipeline Engineering, Group Technical Solutions, Project Delivery & Technology Division, PETRONAS.
Naila has 26 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in the pipeline integrity sub discipline. She has extensive expertise in offshore, onshore, and deepwater pipeline integrity assessment and management, including risk assessment, fitness for service evaluations, development of pipeline integrity guidelines and manuals, failure investigations, and pipeline integrity assurance.
She established an in-house risk assessment methodology for non-metallic pipelines, Smart Tagging System for composite repairs integrity management and actively developing digital solutions as part of oil and gas pipeline integrity management systems. Naila is also an inventor of various digital solutions in PETRONAS, including predictive analytic tools for third-party and geohazard assessments using machine learning technology, and image analytics for evaluating defects on composite repair.
