Sun Bao has 18 years of professional experience in oil-gas field development and overseas project operations management. He has worked at Sinopec Shengli Oilfield and Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration & Production projects management. He is currently the General Manager of ZhenHua Oil Egypt Branch , a subsidiary of the China North Industries Corp., where he is mainly responsible for the company management of the oil-gas field project in Egypt and the development of business in North Africa. He has led the evaluation of new assets in Central Asia (Russia and Kazakhstan), oil field development projects in South America (Mexico and Colombia), and the acquisition and operation of concessions in North Africa (Egypt). Additionally, he has been granted seven invention patents, published nine academic papers in core journals on oil-gas field development, and has led the national major project on Sinopec Shengli Oilfield’s unconventional gas reservoir development, as well as three major corporate special research programs.
