Dr. Juan Pablo Cajahuanca Luna is a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering (COPPE) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil. He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA), Brazil. His research focuses on applied mathematics, with emphasis on mathematical programming, operations research, nonlinear and nonsmooth optimization, stochastic programming, and equilibrium problems. He also has experience in software development and coordinates research projects related to the oil, gas and electricity sectors.
