Anuar has been the Senior General Manager of Integrated Hydrocarbon Management at Malaysia Petroleum Management, PETRONAS since July 2024. He joined PETRONAS in 1991, bringing over 34 years of experience in production, operations, and strategic planning at regional, international, and corporate levels.
Before his current role, Anuar was the Regional Head of PETRONAS Sarawak Assets and the Country Chairman of PETRONAS South Sudan, providing stewardship to ensure success and sustanability of PETRONAS's operations, balancing operational excellence with strategic growth and stakeholders management. His notabe achievements include negotiating with the foreign government to extend the E&P Sharing Agreement (EPSA) and fostering strong relationships with foreign partners to drive value-driven business investments in the country. Anuar also contributed as a member of the Consultative Council on Foreign Policy (CCCP) for Malaysia’s Foreign Policy framework in the post-pandemic world and is currently involved as a Steering Committee Member of the National Gas Roadmap of Malaysia
