With nearly two decades of experience in the energy sector, Mr. BOUCHENEB has actively contributed to numerous international and regional projects, providing him with a diverse skill set and invaluable expertise in energy transition-related issues mainly: renewables, green hydrogen and energy efficiency.
Mr. BOUCHENEB’s journey in the energy field began in 2004 when he joined APRUE (the Algerian Energy Efficiency Agency) shortly after graduating as a Process Engineer from the National polytechnic school of Algiers. In 2009, he assumed the role of head of Energy forecasting studies department.
Thereafter, Mr. BOUCHENEB took on a new challenge in 2015 by joining SONATRACH, where he assumed a central role in developing the company's strategic long-term plans in the oil and gas sector.
In 2018, Mr. BOUCHENEB transitioned to the newly established direction at SONATRACH responsible for renewables, showcasing his adaptability and commitment to addressing evolving energy needs. In 2020, he got promoted to the role of head of the Technical feasibility department.
In 2023, he succeeded to get an internationally recognized Green Hydrogen specialist certificate from the German Renewables Academy “RENAC”.
Throughout his career, Mr. BOUCHENEB has shared his knowledge and insights through several presentations at various international conferences and workshops.
