Wan Xiangwei, a senior economist, has been engaged in the operation and management of public utilities for 28 years. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of China Urban Gas Association, Chairman of Zhejiang Gas Association, and Party Secretary & Chairman of Hangzhou Gas Group Co., Ltd.
During his tenure, aligning with the high-quality development requirements of urban gas in the new era, he has proposed the corporate vision of "building a first-class innovative smart gas service provider in China", clarified the development positioning of "urban gas + integrated energy + technology empowerment", and established a full industrial chain development framework. In upstream operations, the company participates in international gas source trade to form diversified supply modes; midstream infrastructure achieves multi-point gas reception and looped supply through high-pressure pipelines in Hangzhou; downstream operations have completed the "integrated and scaled" reform of natural gas markets, comprehensively enhancing Hangzhou Gas's capability to "serve the city and people through stable supply and pricing". Concurrently, he has seized opportunities in energy transition by actively advancing new energy industry layouts including photovoltaic, EV charging, hydrogen energy, and methanol. Committed to deep integration of technological innovation and productivity development, he drives the creation of an industrial hub for digital and intelligent gas.
In recent years, Hangzhou Gas Group has been honored on multiple prestigious lists including the "2023 China Energy (Group) Top 500", "2024 China Top 500 Service Enterprises", and "2024 Zhejiang Provincial Top 100 Service Enterprises".
