Dr. Lu currently serves as the president of CNPC Economics & Technology Research Institute (CNPC ETRI), Executive Deputy Director General of CNPC Research Center of China Top Think Tanks,Executive Director of China Society of Macroeconomic and Council Member of the China Reform and Opening-up Forum. 


Dr. Lu used to be the deputy director general of the International Department of China National PetroleumCorporation (CNPC), and director of Strategic Development of CNODC. Since 2 006, Mr. Lu has been mainly engaged in research on strategic management , energy policy management reform, energy transition, and the Belt and Road Initiative. He has won three national-level first prizes for the achievements in enterprise management modernization innovation. 


He has authored/co-authored severalbooks suchas the Thoughts on Petroleum, the Oil and Gas under the Belt and Road Initiative, the Strategies in Past Decade — AManifesto by a Researcher on State Enterprise Strategies, the China's Oil and Gas Business and the World under the Belt and Road Initiative, the Oil Power and The First Decade of Jointly Building the “Belt and Road”,Energy Cooperation Achieves Inclusive Development.
