Marcel Kramer is a senior executive with extensive international
experience in the field of energy . Much of his focus, especially in the past
two decades has been on the building and management of large energy projects
and infrastructure companies - such as major transport/pipeline networks,
storage, LNG plants, and renewable energies. He is also well-versed in topics
related to government relations, the energy industry’s policy needs and
regulatory aspects.
He has held a range of senior and Executive/ Supervisory Board
level positions in the oil & gas industry (upstream midstream and
downstream segments), in international organizations (Energy expert in NATO’s
Secretary General Office and leading the Oil Industry Division of the
International Energy Agency), and in external/government affairs. He maintains
an exceptionally wide and diverse international energy-related professional
relations network.
His ongoing professional activity includes international company
Board and advisory roles related to energy investment and risk management, to
projects for sustainability-related energy business and facilities,
international market developments. He is also active in executive education in
energy.
He is a frequent public speaker and moderator and a
long-standing member of the International Gas Union’ s Council and Executive
Committee, the Board of the Royal Dutch Gas Association and other energy
industry related bodies such as Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE).
Marcel Kramer is a Dutch national, he resides with his family in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, after living and working elsewhere in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. His proficiency in 6 languages ranges from fluent or intermediate (Dutch, English, French, German,Spanish) to basic (Norwegian, Russian).
