Ms. Zhu Yanyan has been deeply engaged in the energy industry for nearly 20 years and is a senior professional in China’s LNG trade. She possesses extensive experience in the international LNG market, resource procurement, contract management and legal compliance.
Ms. Zhu currently serves as the Vice President of the Trading and Marketing Division and also the General Manager of Trading and Commodities Centre of CNOOC Gas & Power Group, where she is fully responsible for the international LNG trading. She has played a crucial role in LNG trading, shipping, operation, business development, contract negotiations, and risk management, significantly contributing to the company’s competitiveness in the global natural gas market.
Ms. Zhu graduated from Peking University. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English Language and Literature as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. She is also a Certified Corporate Legal Counsel and a Certified Intermediate Economist, with a multidisciplinary background spanning law, economics, and energy trade.
Since joining CNOOC in 2006, Ms. Zhu has gained extensive experience across key business divisions, including resource procurement, overseas business development, and legal affairs. She has been deeply involved in building the company’s LNG supply chain, driving resource optimisation and cost reduction, and playing a key role in international energy cooperation. She remains committed to advancing the sustainable development of the industry.
