XU Tong  Member of the Board & General Manager, Beijing Gas Group

Mr. Xu Tong boasts over three decades of experience in the gas industry.

Currently serving as Member of the Board and General Manager of Beijing Gas Group, Mr. Xu holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Safety Engineering from Beijing Institute of Economics and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Beijing Institute of Technology. He is a Professor of Engineering. Since 2011, he has held various leadership roles, including Deputy General Manager of Beijing Gas Group (Beijing Beiran Enterprises Group), Executive Deputy General Manager of Beijing Beiran Enterprises Group, and Executive Deputy General Manager and General Manager of Beijing Gas Group. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the 12th Council of the Gas Branch of China Civil Engineering Society and Vice President of the 3rd Council of Xicheng District, Beijing Enterprises and Entrepreneurs Club.

Mr. Xu Tong has extensive expertise in gas engineering technology management, market development, pipeline network operations, safety management, spearheading critical technological breakthroughs, and promoting the application of technological achievements. He has overseen the completion of over 20 major projects, including Beijing's natural gas conversion from coal gas, and pioneered the establishment of "a six pressure-grades' distribution network covering areas within the fifth ring road in Beijing, radiating towards seven directions" gas distribution system. He also developed a risk management and control platform for mega-city gas pipeline networks. With 8 applied invention patents (2 granted), he has earned one national-level individual honor, one industry association innovation award, and one corporate-level technological innovation award.
