Emeka C. Ene is the CEO of the Oida Group, which includes Oida Energy, Xenergi, Xenoil, and the Enugu Industrial Park Free Zone (Enpower FTZ).
Emeka is the chairman (E&P Committee) of the International Gas Union (IGU) for the 2022 – 2025 triennium, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigeria Council, a member of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria and serves on the boards of other companies in the Oil and Gas industry.
Emeka has also served in various capacities on a voluntary basis. He is a past Chairman of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN). He was the Vice Chairman (E&P Committee) of the International Gas Union (IGU) for the 2019 – 2022 triennium, a past director on the board of the World Free Zones Organization (World FZO), a past Chairman of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigeria Council, and was a member of the Presidential Task Force on Refineries reform in Nigeria.
As part of Emeka’s contribution to the body of technical knowledge and best practices in the Oil Industry, he has published several technical papers and made several presentations in the areas of trade and entrepreneurship, Local content, Rigless Well Intervention, Reservoir Monitoring, and Well Conformance Technology.
Emeka pioneered the launch of the MIND AFRICA Foundation (www.mindafrica.org), a non-profit initiative working with rural children ages 10 to 15 years. MIND is involved in developing leadership and life-long learning, computer-based education, and hands-on skills.
