Joanna joined Gas Transmission System Operator GAZ-SYSTEM in 2013. Currently in the role of ESG Manager and Management Board Representative for Sustainable Development. She is in charge of the ESG issues, including ESG strategy implementation and monitoring, as well as integration with the organization’s business objectives. Joanna manages the sustainability reporting process along with coordination of data collection and alignment of corporate processes with regulatory requirements.
Previously, her duties included REMIT compliance, such as coordination of market monitoring processes and detection of potential manipulation on the wholesale energy and gas market. She also implemented projects supporting business relationship building and communication with market participants comprising knowledge sharing, implementation of customer service standards and introduction of plain language principles to customer communication. She has also supervised implementation of strategic communication and public affairs projects, including communication related to investments co-financed by the European Union under the Connecting Europe Facility (gas interconnections projects between Poland and Lithuania, Slovakia, and Denmark).
Before joining GAZ-SYSTEM, she cooperated with PGE Energetyka Kolejowa S.A. energy company.
Joanna holds Master's degree from the University of Warsaw (in Journalism and Social Communication) and from the Warsaw School of Economics (majors in Strategic Management). She also completed postgraduate studies in the Energy Market at the Warsaw School of Economics, as well as in Energy Transition and Technologies for the Production, Transport and Utilization of Hydrogen and Biomethane at the AGH University of Science and Technology. She also holds the Approved Compliance Officer certificate.
Joanna is a member of the Marketing and Communication Committee within the International Gas Union for the 2022-2025 triennium.
