Go Katayama joined Kpler Insight as Principal Insight Analyst - LNG & Natural Gas in April 2024.

He leads Kpler Insight`s fundamental analysis on forming Kpler Insight Global LNG view with a focus on Global LNG demand and Asian pricing forecasts.

Prior to joining Kpler, he was Senior LNG analyst (2022-2024) under Shell Energy Integrated Fundamentals team mainly assisting spot LNG traders and  originators on trading strategy and Japan power regulation Advisor (2020-2022) at Shell Energy Japan, overlooking Japan power regulation and policy impact to business unit.

He was also a global LNG consultant at Poten & Partners (2013-2020) covering global LNG market supply and demand for short and long term dynamics completing over 100 LNG market consulting projects.

Go is based in Tokyo and he holds a BA in International relations from University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana, MS In Global Energy Policy from New York University. He is currently an advisor board member of New York University Center for Global Affairs.
