Varun Gujral is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as the Country Head for ENGIE in Southeast Asia, Varun oversees the Group’s operations and strategic initiatives in the region. His leadership is instrumental in driving ENGIE's mission to provide sustainable energy solutions and advance the energy transition.

Alongside this role, Varun also serves as the CEO, Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) APAC at ENGIE, where he plays a pivotal role in expanding the company's portfolio and strengthening its market presence across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. His efforts have been crucial in positioning GEMS as a leader in energy risk management and decarbonization.

Varun is a qualified Chartered Accountant and graduated in Commerce from Allahabad University in India. He previously worked at Indian Oil Corporation Limited for over 10 years and Cairn India Limited for 2 years. He is regarded as an expert in the energy market and is frequently invited for strategic discussions as well as to present and speak at international conferences.
