Mr. XIN Ruikun is now appointed as the Secretary of Guangzhou Gas Group Party Committee and serves as the Group’s Executive Director.

Mr. XIN has a degree in chemical engineering from South China University of Technology.  With his over 30 years of experience in natural gas production, sale and purchase, gas project construction and operation, he has great knowledge and insight of natural gas industry in China and leads management and operation in city gas sector.

Mr. XIN has driven preparation and implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan of Guangzhou Gas Group, focusing on transformation and upgrading of the Group from a traditional role in city gas sector to a city gas operator and natural gas supplier. He spent time in establishment of quaternity system of procurement, supply, storage and sales, expanding access to domestic and overseas sources. During the time, he promoted construction and commercial operation of Guangzhou LNG Emergency Peak-shaving Terminal Project as well as Phase 4 Gas Network Project in Guangzhou, bringing Terminal’s annual throughput into million ton class and improving Guangzhou city emergency gas use and security of supply for more than 10 consecutive days. Along with all his endeavors, Guangzhou Gas Group has doubled its efforts in making Guangzhou a mega-city to secure gas sources from home and abroad, and realized integration of gas stations and networks, which underpins the City’s position as the core of natural gas supply in the Great Bay Area. Mr. XIN has made great strides in achieving interconnectivity with pipelines from other major suppliers with the aim of building a comprehensive supply circuit that covers southern China, contributing regional supply with more stability and reliability.
