Sun Yongkang, Ph.D., is a Professor-level Senior Engineer. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of Shanghai Energy Construction Group Co., Ltd., Chairman of Shanghai Energy Construction Engineering Design & Research Co., Ltd., and Executive Director of the Dual Carbon Innovation Center at Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co., Ltd. He also holds leadership roles including Vice Chairman of the Hydrogen Energy Equipment Engineering Branch (China Civil Engineering Society), Vice Chairman of the Hydrogen Energy Development and Innovation Alliance (China Urban Gas Association), and Executive Council Member of both the Association and its Urban Gas Branch.
Leading his team in urban gas, hydrogen energy, resource recycling, and smart energy, Dr. Sun has achieved groundbreaking innovations and nationwide demonstration projects. He spearheaded the world’s largest LNG cold energy power generation facility, established the "6C Gas Safety Risk Management System", and developed a digital platform for ultra-high-pressure natural gas transmission. With 14 core research papers and 10 invention patents, he has received provincial/ministerial-level awards such as the Zhan Tianyou Award and Shanghai’s First Prize for Outstanding Engineering Survey and Design.
