Zahari Che Mi is a Senior Manager at PETRONAS, based in Malaysia.
With over 20 years of experience in the gas and LNG sectors, Zahari has developed a comprehensive understanding of both technical and commercial aspects of the industry. His expertise extends to strategic planning and optimization of gas supply portfolios to meet future demand, as well as techno-commercial aspects of gas infrastructure with a specialized focus on Third Party Access (TPA).
He began his career at PETRONAS, where he has held various roles, including significant involvement in the Gladstone LNG Project in Australia. From 2018 to 2020, Zahari was seconded to Malaysia's energy regulator, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, where he played a pivotal role to facilitate the implementation of TPA regulatory framework to shape Peninsular Malaysia's journey towards a liberalized gas market.
Zahari holds an Executive MBA in Energy Transition from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
