Jürgen Grönner's professional journey commenced at Thyssengas in Duisburg, Germany, where he assumed various technical roles, including oversight of the underground gas storage facility in Xanten. Subsequently, he advanced to the helm of the Technical Service Department. In 2004, Jürgen transitioned to the role of vice president, overseeing multiple corporate functions within RWE Energy AG in Dortmund, Germany. Since 2014, he has served as the managing director of Westnetz in Dortmund.
He also serves as chairman of the distribution committee of the International Gas Union and is a member of the presidium of the German Gas & Water Association (DVGW).
Jürgen holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of Essen, Germany, and was subsequently a fellow of the European Union at the Von-Kármán-Institute for Fluid Dynamics in Brussels, Belgium.
