Dr. Fairy Wang currently serves as the vice president of Sinopec EDRI (Economics & Development Research Institute), a premier think-tank in the energy sector. She is also a Professorate Senior Economist within Sinopec. Prior to her role at EDRI, Dr. Wang was the Head of Research and Strategy at Unipec, the trading arm of Sinopec and one of the world's largest oil trading companies. In this capacity, she was also responsible for carbon and power trading. With almost 15 years of  comprehensive experience in energy industry, Dr. Wang has earned an excellent reputation. As a prominent leader in her field, Dr. Wang has authored numerous professional articles and led the compilation of several influential publications, including China’s Petroleum Blue Book, China Oil, Gas and New Energy Blue Book, China Energy and Chemical Industry Development Report, and Carbon Trading Handbook. She actively engages with market participants to ensure her research remains highly relevant to the industry. Dr. Wang holds a PhD in Economics from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) in Beijing.
