Mr. Xingbang Liu is an engineer at the Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Development, PetroChain Company Limited, where he applies advanced AI solutions to the oil and gas industry. He leads efforts to enhance computational efficiency using large language models, focusing on seamlessly integrating petroleum industry knowledge into large language models, ensuring they effectively support and transform exploration and production workflows. Additionally, he contributes to projects involving remote sensing and advanced image analysis for industrial applications. His expertise extends to developing state-of-the-art algorithms, including implementations for geological data processing and domain-specific applications of large language models in petroleum engineering.
Before joining PetroChina, Mr. Liu earned his Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSAI) from Northwestern University. During his academic career, Xingbang Liu presented and published research at conferences such as FLAIRS and AAAI, showcasing his contributions to natural language processing and automated summarization. Mr. Liu also worked as a machine learning engineer at Royal Caribbean Group (RCCL), where he contributed to projects aimed at enhancing fuel efficiency and optimizing energy-saving strategies for cruise ships.
