His primary focus lies in research and development plan preparation for oil and gas reservoir engineering, and has led and completed multiple major oil and gas development projects for the 13th and 14th Five Year Plans of the country and the company. Dr. Wei received 9 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards, published over 80 academic papers, has authored 6 books, applied for 10 invention patents, registered 1 software copyright, and has contributed as a peer reviewer for journals including Gas Science and Engineering, Petroleum Exploration and Development, Natural Gas Industry, and Natural Gas Earth Science et al..
