Maarten Tjebbes was born on 9 April 1971 in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Maarten has 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, of which 25 years in gas marketing. He is currently heading the commercial department of GasTerra B.V. In this capability he oversees both the purchase and the sales gas contracts from GasTerra B.V. GasTerra B.V. is a leading European Gas Marketing company, historically the largest supplier of natural gas in Western Europe. Maarten has (re)negotiated and concluded numerous high stake long term natural gas contracts. He also has 25 years of experience in international arbitrations on long term gas contracts (both as a seller and as a buyer), holding final responsibility for many international arbitrations valued over 1 billion euros.
