Fazli has 23 years of experiences in oil & gas, started with PETRONAS Research SB in 2001, Group Technical Solutions (GTS) and currently as Principal (Environment) at PETRONAS Group HSE Division. His specialisation includes consultancies & technical services, EIA projects, groundwater assessment & remediation, technology assessment and R&D, capital project management, technical assurance, and digital & technology project managements. His key projects include leading multiple EIA for domestic and international clients, led development of bioremediation solutions, established enterprise environmental digital performance solution, and established collaboration research in waste treatment with international entities.
Fazli is a registered Professional Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Professional Technologist with Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT), Chartered Member & Chartered Scientist (IChemE-UK), Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Member (Energy Institute-UK). He served as Industrial Advisory Panel (IAP) and Industrial Lecturer for several local and international universities in Malaysia He has multiple publications and presented many papers at domestic and international conferences. Fazli had graduated in Chemical Engineering (First Class Honors, 2001) Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and earned his master’s degree in civil & Structure Engineering from National University of Malaysia (UKM, 2012). He is currently pursuing his part time PhD in Environmental Engineering in UKM.
