Gayoung Kim

Gayoung is a Senior Consultant based in Perth. She has been working in LNG industry about 20 years and has wide experience of commercial matters in the LNG industry.


She started her career as a marketing representative for an LNG seller and successfully contributed to the development of an SPA and participated in price reviews. Gayoung was also involved in operational issues such as vessel scheduling and cargo witnessing. While working for SK E&S, she was involved in the Freeport LNG project, with responsibilities including terms and conditions of the tolling agreement, tax and transfer pricing, as well as corporate structures for delivery of overseas LNG production to Korea. Since joining Poten, Gayoung has done wide range of client works related to LNG supply project developments, LNG procurement, terminal development and contracting and shipping issues. Based on her experience in LNG, Gayoung has been expanding her work related to clean hydrogen and ammonia in recent years.


Gayoung has a Master of Science Degree in Energy Economics from Curtin University, Western Australia and Bachelor of Science in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She is fluent in Korean and English.
