Ole Njærheim is an Executive Vice President in Petoro AS, responsible for market, gas infrastructure, commercial and business development for the last 3 years. From 2017 to 2021 he was the Executive Vice President in Petoro AS, responsible for market and gas infrastructure. Prior to this Ole has worked with energy trading, M&A and investment management and commercial and financial advisory. Ole holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Petoro is a company owned by the Norwegian State and manages the upstream assets directly owned by the state. Petoro is not an operator, but an active and commercial partner and investor. The assets managed by Petoro produce close to 1,1 million barrels of oil equivalents per day. In 2024 the production from the assets managed by Petoro was more than 350 kbd of liquids and more than 40 BCM of natural gas that is sold in the European market.
