Chilean Natural Gas Association
He
is an attorney from the University of Valparaiso with an MBA from the
University Adolfo Ibáñez Business School and a master's degree in law with a
specialization in natural resources from the University of Dundee, Scotland. He
also attended the Executive Business Management Program (PADE) at the
University of Los Andes.
He has promoted various projects and
initiatives aimed at expanding the participation of natural gas in the
electricity generation, industrial, residential and transportation sectors. To
achieve this, he has forged ties with multiple national and foreign
organizations, including governmental and regulatory authorities, with the aim
of fostering the use of this energy source.
He is currently the Executive Chairman
of the Chilean Natural Gas Association (AGN), an organization that has grown
steadily over the years and today represents the main players in the national
natural gas industry (importers, LNG terminals, gas pipelines, marketers,
distributors and large customers). He is currently the Regional Coordinator of
the Latin American and Caribbean arm of the International Gas Union (IGU).
As for public-private partnerships, he was a member of the advisory committee that drafted and updated the Chilean Energy Policy in 2016 and 2021.
