She is a lawyer from Universidad del Rosario specialized in tax law from the same university. She has been linked with the mining and energy sector for more than 18 years.

She served as Vice President of Promotion and Allocation of Areas of the National Hydrocarbons Agency, where she promoted foreign investment in the country, especially in the development of offshore hydrocarbon exploration and production. She was also Exploration Manager of the same entity.

She worked in Ecopetrol for eight years as tax advisor for the entire value chain of the business. She participated in the entire process of determining the value of the share for the stock going into the market, as well as in the internationalization process of the company.

She was Executive Director of her legal consulting firm with emphasis on environmental, social and business aspects for the development of projects in the mining and energy sector.

She is currently President of Naturgas, an association that brings together the 29 main natural gas producing, transporting, distributing and marketing companies in Colombia.
